According to unaudited data, the consolidated sales of Kauno tiltai Group, owned by Tiltra Group, of 2009 accounts for LTL 470 million, and the net profit amounts to LTL 20.22 million. According to audited data, the sales of the group of 2008 accounted for LTL 638.3 million, and the net profit amounted to LTL 46.6 million.
Member of the Board of Tiltra Group AB and Chairman of the Board of Kauno tiltai, Nerijus Eidukevičius, comments that a decline in sales has been conditioned by reduced financing of the Lithuanian road and bridge construction market; therefore, in 2009, they focussed on strengthening the position in Poland.
At the end of 2009, in pursuing development in Poland, Tiltra Group AB acquired the majority holding of the road and bridge construction company group Poldim. Last year’s income of Tiltra Group companies, including the Poldim Group, exceeded LTL 1 billion, major share coming from Poland.
“This year we are also planning to focus on the Polish market where, seeking to boost economy, considerable investment has been diverted to the road infrastructure,” says Mr. Eidukevičius.
Reconstruction of the Southern Bypass of Bialystok is among the major projects implemented by the companies owned by Tiltra Group AB. The largest infrastructure project currently implemented in Lithuania is the stage IA of the Western Bypass of Vilnius (the reconstruction of Lazdynai Bridge).
