The Latvian investment management company IPAS Baltikums Asset Management, which was acquired by AB Invalda in September, is changing its name and will now be called Invalda Asset Management Latvia.
“This decision was made as a result of the Invalda financial group’s further purposeful development stage in Latvia. This is yet another step in order to get established in this market and apply our accumulated experience in asset management and investment and pension fund management”, Andrius Barštys, general director of UAB Invalda Turto Valdymas, says.
Invalda has been operating in the Latvian asset management market since 2006 and in September this year, it acquired 100 percent of the shares in IPAS Baltikums Asset Management from the Latvian bank AS Akciju komercbanka Baltikums. In Latvia, Invalda Asset Management Latvia will manage two second tier pension funds and six (three of them of closed type) investment funds. In the future, the company plans to expand its service package.
