In the beginning of this year Invalda Group, one of the largest investment companies in Lithuania, purchased 51% shares of Lauko Gelininkystes Bandymu Stotis (brand name Augalu Centras). Now this block of shares was increased till 100%. About 500 thousand LTL were paid to the minority shareholders for the remaining 49% of shares.
“It is a small-scale transaction, if we look Group-wide. But we intend actively expand the core business of the company. Moreover, we will seek Augalu Centras to have a profitable work and to become a wholesale and retail trade in ornamental plants leader in Lithuania” – said Darius Sulnis, the president of Invalda.
Augalu Centras started its activity in 1992 and now is located in Vilnius, in the territory of 7 hectares. The company cultivates and sells almost all plants, that are suitable to grow in the climatic conditions of Lithuania. Also it has the largest collection in Lithuania of perennials. The company’s customers are companies providing services of planting and territory management, construction and road building sector’s companies, looking for high quality plants for their projects, as well as private individuals, planting in their own land plots.

Revenues of Augalu Centras during the first half of 2011 reched 1 mln. LTL and exceeded sales of the same period last year twice.
