Litagra, one of the largest agricultural companies in Lithuania, states that overall companies of Litagra group are not in debt to the state budget for the value added tax (VAT).
„On 25 September 2013 the State Tax Inspectorate (STI) has been subjected a request to settle LTL 6.5 million overpaid VAT with the payable amount of LTL 1.9 million by Litagros Prekyba. We regret to say, that having a receivable amount from the budget, we find ourselves into the bad debtors’ list, even though we pay our taxes regularly“ – Mindaugas Bareisis, the Director of Finance of Litagra, said.
According to him, in order to avoid similar misunderstandings, the formation of the list of the largest STI debtors should be improved, by excluding companies that submitted applications to settle overpayments of other group companies.
In 2012 Litagra Group received audited profit of LTL 429.2 million, earnings before interests, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was LTL 38.86 million, the net profit of the company amounted to LTL 20.405 million.
