INVL Asset Management, one of Lithuania’s leading asset management companies, from now on can also manage collective investment undertakings intended for professional investors. It was granted this right by the Bank of Lithuania, which on 2 October this year issued the company a licence to conduct activities under the Law on Management Companies of Collective Investment Undertakings Intended for Professional Investors.
“The new licence will not just let us expand the portfolio of investment services we’re building, but will also enable us to distribute investment products intended for professional investors in the countries of the European Union. Additionally, management companies with this licence face stricter regulatory requirements – that’s something foreign investors appreciate, so we believe over the long term it’ll become an advantage when offering investment products on an international scale,” said Laura Križinauskienė, the CEO of INVL Asset Management.
Professional investors are investors who have that status according to the Law on Markets in Financial Instruments of the Republic of Lithuania.
INVL Asset Management currently manages 2nd and 3rd pillar pension funds and mutual funds intended for retail and well-informed investors. The company also manages personal investment portfolios and closed-end investment companies.
INVL Asset Management is part of Invalda INVL, one of the leading asset management groups in the Baltic region. Companies in the group have been entrusted with more than 540 million euros of assets by over 180,000 clients in Lithuania and Latvia and international investors.
